Real Estate
A piece of land and all physical property related to it.
Realtor
A registered trademark name that can only be used by members of state and local real estate boards affiliated with the National Association of Realtors. A realtor-associate is licensed and trained to help clients buy and sell real estate.
Recession
A downturn in the economy, which is broadly defined by many economists as at least two consecutive quarters of decline in a nation's gross domestic product (GDP).
Recovery
The period after a recession when economic increases and the gross domestic product (GDP) rises.
Revenue
The earnings of a company before costs or expenses are deducted. It includes net sales of the company and other revenue associated with the operations of the business. It does not include dividends, interest income or non-operating income.
Royalty
A payment to an individual for the right to use his or her patent, copyrighted material, or natural resources. Royalties are calculated as a percentage from the incoming collected from the use of their property
